Singer Floria Tosca is a true diva: beautiful, passionate, and deeply jealous when she has even the slightest suspicion that her beloved Cavaradossi is unfaithful. The sadistic police chief Scarpia has also set his sights on this fascinating woman and attempts to blackmail her using Cavaradossi’s political activities. Puccini’s opera is an artist tragedy and political crime story, a celebration of Italian song and freedom of thought.
