2. Tenor

Der Tenor Emanoel Velozo wurde 1978 in Brasilien geboren und studierte zunächst Gesang am Conservatório Brasileiro de Musica in Rio de Janeiro. Im Anschluss absolvierte er ein Masterstudium in Opern- und Konzertgesang am Royal Conservatoire of Scotland und besuchte Meisterklassen u.a. bei José van Dam, Illeana Cotrubas, Mirella Freni, Barbara Bonney, Kiri te Kanawa, Ian Storey oder John Treleaven. Sein Repertoire umfasst Werke aus den Bereichen Oratorium (u.a. Weihnachtsoratorium von Bach, Requiem von Mozart und Verdi), Oper (u.a. Tamino in „Die Zauberflöte“, Alfredo in „La Traviata“) sowie Kammermusik (u.a. von Purcell, Schubert, Fauré, Messiaen). Im August 2016 sag er Rodolfo in „La Bohème“ beim Woodhouse Opera Festival in Großbritannien. Emanoel Velozo ist Mitglied des Opernchors des Staatstheater Nürnberg.
