Alvaro Luna

Born in Madrid, Álvaro Luna studied Audiovisual Communication at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and graduated as Audiovisual Producer and Show Producer at the Official Institute of Radio and Television of RTVE (Spanish Public Television). He is also a member of AAI, the Spanish Lighting Association, in the Video and Projection Design section.
Since 1999 he has been working in different areas of visual arts such as cinema, documentary and video art. He was a pioneer of the so-called "videoescena" (video and projection design for the performing arts) and for the last twenty years has been investigating the incorporation of video design and visual projection in opera, theater, music and dance performances as a particular and independent discipline of the performing arts.
