The Import/Export Café is an event/encounter format hosted in the 3. Etage of the Schauspielhaus. It is open to people from any and all walks of life: the curious, the sceptical, the fans, dyed-in-the-wool Nurembergers and displaced persons alike! Once a month we open up the Schauspielhaus as a place of intercultural encounters and of meaningful interaction with a panoply of issues and communities. Why? Because we think theatre should also be a forum within - and for – a city and its inhabitants. Our aim is to coax people inside and use talks, workshops and film showings to get people engaging with each other on subjects beyond the usual stage performances.
Our programme appears every two months as a multilingual flyer in the foyer and is also viewable on our website. It is the result of a collaboration with various Nuremberg associations and initiatives.
The Café is open once a month and admission is free. We only ask you to indicate your intention to attend by mailing vielfalt(at)staatstheater-nuernberg.de!
