Martin Do­nu­til

Martin Donutil was born in Prague in 1991, the son of actor Miroslav Donutil. Following his studies of acting at Prague Conservatory, he moved to Brno and joined the ensemble of the famous Goose on a String Theatre (Divadlo Husa na provázku). He soon established himself as one of the company’s leading actors, starring – among other roles – as Amadeus in director Vladimír Morávek’s unconventional production of the eponymous play by Peter Shaffer or in multiple roles in Michal Dočekal’s recent production of Massini’s Lehman Brothers. Following their collaboration, he was invited by Dočekal to join the company of Prague City Theatres from Summer 2018 onwards – with Joe Pitt in Dočekal’s direction of Angels in America as his first starring role. In addition to his numerous stage appearances, he has had starring roles in high-profile TV series and supporting roles in feature films.
