Musik für Klaviertrio, bestehend aus Violine, Violoncello und Klavier, ist seit Haydn eine der Säulen der Kammermusik. Im Programm ist neben den bekannten Trios von Haydn und Brahms auch ein Werk von Turina. Dieser Komponist verbindet in seinen Werken romantischen Überschwang und Anklänge an den Impressionismus mit spanischer Folklore.
