One of the oldest themes in theatre, a celebration of the dramatic arts, the greatest tragedy in history: the distraught Clytemnestra murders her husband Agamemnon, who had sacrificed their daughter Iphigenia – and is then killed herself by her son Orestes, who avenges his father. An endless succession of generations of violence within a cursed family, told in the very contemporary, accessible language of the author of the hit play ‘The Doctor’.
