With "A Case for Figaro", the Nuremberg Opera is rounding out its repertoire: The new format is geared toward everyone too old for children's opera and too young to pay for school seats. It is for families and opera newcomers, as well as everyone who wants to experience Gioachino Rossini's comedy The Barber of Sevilla in a condensed, fast-paced, German-language version with the Opera Ensemble, the Youth Opera Choir and the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg.

Also in this version, the barber Figaro helps his friend Almaviva. He has fallen in love with Rosina, but her father won't let her out of his sight for one moment. It's a case for Figaro, for whom no costume is too embarrassing!
