It was to be a musical piece about a band while taking an entertaining look at Nuremberg’s history: House playwright Philipp Löhle dove into his research and examined the stories of bands, and the music and world events of the ‘70s and ‘80s. Coupled with comedy specialist Christian Brey, the result is a performance with live music that looks back on the wild KOMM era in Nuremberg among other periods, celebrating a zeitgeist in which rock music was a way of life. In the guise of a mockumentary, the audience learns about the woefully unknown Franconian band Orbit while being taken on a journey through two decades of German history, with timeless evergreens and music mythos.

Press reviews
