“I have completed the construction of my burrow and it seems to be successful,” begins Franz Kafka’s posthumously published story. An animal creates a secure retreat for itself, a refuge, a bunker – a subterranean labyrinth of pathways, chambers, dead-ends and traps. Finally, it no longer has to fear its predators! At first, the creature is quite pleased with itself, but paranoia seeps in as it continues to perfect its burrow…

Nils Corte, pioneer of digital theatre and artistic director of the XRT, and Lena Rucker create a brand new theatre event based on Kafka’s incomplete, 100-year-old story with state-of-the-art resources.
