Strauss, Mozart, Brahms

Richard Strauss, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms are established in the musical Pantheon, with Strauss, the Late Romantic, famous chiefly for his operas and symphonic poems. His “Capriccio” opens with a lovely piece for a string sextet. Two other exquisite chamber works, Mozart’s horn quintet and Brahms’s first string sextet, complete the programme.
