Odysseus is back from the war and reunited with wife Penelope and son Telemachos. Now the people want to know what it was like, the Trojan War, the odysseys - and what it is like now to be together again as a family after 20 years. The three are guests on a talk show in which the unpleasant things are addressed: the moral side of war, the time spent with nymphs and goddesses, the distant relationship between father and son. And more generally the question: Does the world still need such heroes?

Cosmea Spelleken, who was voted Young Director of the Year in 2022, brings the themes of the epic into today with her production and expands the classical theatre experience with an interactive and digital level: You, the viewers, are the talk show audience - either analogue on location or simultaneously on the internet. The questions you ask on the net influence the course of action. In social media, you meet the characters once again in person, you can write with them and get to know them as feeling and conflicted personalities.

Christoph Leibold, Deutschlandfunk
