In Kooperation mit dem Forschungsinstitut für Musiktheater Universität Bayreuth und dem Dokumentationszentrum Nürnberg

Das Nürnberger Opernhaus wurde 1934/35 zu einem zentralen Ort nationalsozialistischer Propaganda. Es wurde auf Befehl und nach Maßgabe von Adolf Hitler umgebaut und erhielt Sondermittel um im Sinne der NS-Ästhetik mustergültige Inszenierungen (u.a. „Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg“) herauszubringen. Axel Emmerling führt sie durch die Geschichte und Architektur der NS-Zeit des Opernhauses.

Treffpunkt für die Führungen ist die Kassenhalle im Opernhaus.
