Alice in Wonderland
Alice tumbles down a hole in the ground and into a world of wonders. Except the White Rabbit, March Hare, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and Queen of Hearts are not nearly as nice as we’d expect. The Wonderland inhabitants are anything but friendly towards Alice and their rules are quite impenetrable.
Johanna Wehner’s adaptation and direction together with the music of Vera Mohrs and Kostia Rapoport, by turns fantastical and menacingly rhythmic, draw Alice and the audience into a system that is as unbrookable as it is illogical, and from which there is no escape.
