2nd Ex­pe­di­ti­on Con­cert

Joana Mallwitz’s series of popular journeys into the interior of a masterpiece is entering its fifth season. Join our General Music Director and the State Philharmonic Orchestra in exploring every aspect of one of the great works of music. As well as conducting as normal, Joana Mallwitz will also be presenting the piece herself from her seat at the piano. In so doing, she will pepper familiar stretches of music with interesting bits of trivia and fringe information, creating a fresh auditory experience culminating in a full performance of the work. Experienced concertgoers and curious newcomers alike are cordially invited to prick up their ears!
