Tom Be­vo­ort

Tom Bevoort has worked for the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) since 1978, first as head of the lighting department of the Nederlands Dans Theater 1 and from 1995 as technical director of the Nederlands Dans Theater. From September 2008 to August 2011 he took on a new position as "Executive Advisor Technical Affairs and new theatrebuilding". Tom Bevoort has created lighting designs for renowned choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Paul Lightfoot, Sol León, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger and Medhi Walerski. For more than 22 years, he has been the exclusive lighting designer for the creations of the choreographer duo Sol Leon and Paul Lightfoot. In addition to his work as a lighting designer, he is also a consultant for theatre, light and technique.
