Bassbariton

Der junge niederländisch-amerikanische Bass-Bariton Mats Roolvink fühlt sich sowohl im Opern- als auch Barockrepertoire zu Hause. Sein Debüt in Deutschland gab er 2020 als Figaro („Figaros Hochzeit“) in Weimar, anschließend sang er Colline („La Bohème“) in Paris. Als Absolvent einer Meisterklasse sang er auf der Konzertbühne der Bayreuther Festspiele und bei einer Operngala des Festivals „Oper Oder-Spree“. Roolvink gewann den ersten Preis der American Prize Competition for College Division im Bereich Lied und Oratorium und den 3. Preis bei der Alida Vane Singing Competition in Lettland. Zu seinen Lehrer*innen gehören Andreas Macco, Barbara Bonney und Kjellaug Tesaker.
