Juliano Toscano

Dancer

The Brazilian Juliano Toscano began his dancer's career at the Escola do Teatro Bolshoi no Brasil (2000-2008) and continued at the Especia Academia de Danca (2009).

His path led from the Sao Paulo CIA de Danca (2009 to 2012) to the Badische Staatstheater Karlsruhe (2013 to 2018), where he became a Soloist in 2015 and First Soloist in 2017, to the Leipzig Ballet, where he was engaged as a soloist from 2018 on. He danced in choreographies by Jiří Kylián, Heinz Spoerli, Uwe Scholz, Christopher Wheeldon, Jörg Mannes, Raimondo Rebeck and Jiří and Otto Bubeniček and many others. For his performance he received the gold medal at the 27th Joinville Danse Festival as well as the International Festival for Dance CBDD in the Grand Pas de Deux category. From the season 2019/2020 on Juliano Toscano is a member of the Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett.
