Kostümbildner

Jean-Michel Lainé, born in Aix-en-Provence, trained as a costume designer at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Spectacle in Paris. He then worked as a freelancer and met Jean-Christophe Maillot, among others, whom he followed to Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, where he became head of the costume department in 1994. In addition to numerous productions with Jean-Christophe Maillot for Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, he was also involved in designing the costumes for Lucinda Childs' ballets, including "Feuervogel" (2005) at the "Maggio Fiorentino" and as assistant to Augustin Maillot for Jean-Christophe Maillot's new creation of "La mégère apprivoisée" (2014) at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
