Frank Damerius wurde am 1. Juni 1956 in Eberswalde geboren und wuchs in Karl-Marx-Stadt (heute Chemnitz) auf. Nach dem Abitur arbeitete er als Techniker am Karl-Marx-Städter Theater, dann absolvierte er ein Schauspielstudium an der Theaterhochschule in Leipzig. Es folgten Engagements in Freiberg, Plauen und in Marburg. Dort trat er auch als Komponist und Regisseur in Erscheinung. Sein komisches Talent stellt er mit großem Erfolg in "Ewig jung" und "Der nackte Wahnsinn" unter Beweis. Für seine Rollen in Mouawads "Verbrennungen" und "Blackbird" erhielt Frank Damerius den Darstellerpreis der Bayerischen Theatertage 2007.
