The Japanese-born dancer began training at the Ito Michiko Ballet Studio at the age of five; she then went on to Arts Umbrella in Canada and finally completed her degree with an intensive course at the Nederlands Dans Theater. She gained stage experience at the Arts Umbrella Dance Company before joining Ballet British Columbia. Since 2013 she has danced with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. Her teachers and mentors are among others Giocanda Barbuto of NDT3, Yvan Dubreuil (NDT), James Kudelka (National Ballet Canada) and Crystal Pite (Kidd Pivot). She performed both neo-classical and contemporary repertoire in pieces by Mats Ek, Stephan Thoss, Jiří Kylián, Christian Spuck, Ohad Naharin, Edward Clug and many others. From the season 2019/2020 on she is a member of the Staatstheater Nürnberg Ballett.
