Born in Spain. Received his dance education from 1992 to 2005 at the María de Ávila School in Zaragoza, Spain. In 2004 he gained a scholarship at the International Ballet Master Classes in Prague. Within the same year he won the Princess Grace Foundation Award of Monaco Dance Forum. In 2004 and 2005 he was engaged with English National Ballet and the Ballet du Rhin Strasbourg. Worked amongst others with choreographers Nacho Duato, William Forsythe and Jo Strømgren. Since season 2008/2009 member of the company of Nuremberg Ballet. Since season 2015/2016 Carlos Lázaro is engaged as ballet master at Nuremberg Ballet.
