Death is one of the few truly unavoidable things in life. And yet we are very adept at suppressing thoughts of it. Most of us are rarely confronted with it, but on this theatre evening you will be. Because he’s right there in person, death: with his deep black humour and all of his incomprehensible matter-of-factness. He talks about himself. And about us. About how we deal with it, how we try to understand it, to cope with it, to process it. In doing so, he not only takes himself for a ride, but also takes us with him.
Wenzel Winzer, who already brought a difficult subject to the stage with "Sex Work" in a way that was as clever as it was entertaining, talks to people who are confronted with death every day for his next research project. Those who care for the dying, medical professionals and religious representatives have their say and their perspectives find their way into the play.
